Hey there, I’m Agatha Ezzedine. I’m a Lebanese actor working and living in London, UK

Having lived in Beirut, Lebanon since I was born, I knew all along that my love for theatre and film exceeded everything else.

In 2013, my fascination with Shakespeare drove me to move to the UK. I wanted to take in everything that London, the capital of theatre had to teach me. So, I have been training and working on projects relentlessly, all the while meeting some superbly talented industry professionals.

At the core of my work is the Sanford Meisner acting technique. I believe that “behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances” creates the most organic work. I try to make every role my own by connecting with the character on a deep and personal level. I put myself in their past, the space they are currently in, the period of time they are in, their relationships, their day before the scene begins, the way they feel about the person they are talking to and what they’ve been through together, and more. I feel that this type of preparation allows me to arrive to rehearsals/set/auditions having made some bold choices, which makes my character’s intentions specific and not vague.

I have also trained in the Stanislavski and Stella Adler methods and equally enjoy working with non-Meisner believers! I continuously keep my movement and voice in check in order to be ready for the next job. At the end of the day, if the audience didn’t hear it and didn’t see it, it didn’t happen!

At work, I value versatility, creativity and authenticity.

I have enjoyed playing a variety of characters from low status to higher status, from modern career women to traditional women in period pieces. I am always seeking acting opportunities in projects that allow me to challenge myself and put my creativity into play.

So if you are looking for a female actor to bring something new to the table for your new project, do give me a sign!

Much love,

A
